An art class designed to help you get started “Free Sewing” your dream garments. The perfect class for artists interested in creating unique clothing based on their own ideas and imagination. Join us for an afternoon with a unique space for community sewing and creative learning. If you have already taken the “Free Sewing” class and want more motivation and tips to start your first creative (without a pattern) garment, welcome back! And if you are looking for a sewing class that is more like an art class that encourages personal expression, this course is for you!
This class will include discussing how to use two basic hand sewing stitches to get started sewing your ideas right away.
Learn simple tips to use in order to begin “Action Sewing” (sewing without a strict plan) will also be demonstrated and done together. This course will encourage student discussion and in class sewing.
This class will give support with project problem solving and lots of “you can do it propaganda”. Prepare to enjoy a mindful class of creative practice. Let’s make art together!
This class is a 1.5-2 hour zoom studio class. Students will receive a zoom link for the class the day before.
Supplies recommended: fabric, sewing needles, thread, tape measure, scissors, pins, paper and pencils. Having a manikin is also a great addition but not necessary.
A skirt made with the wonderful bright and sunny flower patterns of the 1960’s and 70’s. A stretchy waist skirt with two front pockets. Completely hand sewn with love from all vintage materials.
Size: Small to Medium with a stretchy waist fitting a 26-39 inch waist. From hip on down skirt is 44 inches in width, 20 inches in length.
Excellent condition 1980’s rainbow colored roller skates. Skates marked size 38 but fit closer to a size 37 or USA size 7. Skate shoe is 10inches in length on the outside. 9.5 inches in length on the inside.
These have only been worn a few times with some wear to the wheels of the skates. Leaving them in excellent vintage condition.
This completely hand made scarf will cheer up any gloomy day. Made from all vintage materials. This vintage gingham fabric was previously hand embroidered with chicken scratch . Chicken scratch was popular during the 1930s-50’s and added a lovely decoration to everyday textiles used in the home as well as to clothing. These scarves can be worn on the neck or head. Each made with lots of love.

A nearly perfect condition vintage novelty hankie. Decorated with sweethearts. A young boy, girl, cat, pig, roses and berries. Will make an Adorable addition to any vintage hankie collection.

Rare, in beautiful condition antique silk ribbon. This trim is 6.5 inches in width and over 3 yards long. 117 inches in length, cut in two pieces.
A vintage Victorian revival bracelet with etched flowers and a pinch clasp. lovely bracelet inspired by the romance of the 1900s.
Bracelet is in great vintage condition but does have two small flaws. This piece still presents beautifully. Originally, bracelet had a clasp chain that is missing. There is a small area of metal discoloration. Both flaws shown in photos.
A lovely Edwardian revival piece made by “collar’s n cuffs”. 1970’s Victorian style at its best. In excellent vintage condition.

Size: main decorative crochet part 16 inches, total length 33inches
displayed/modeled on a 14 inch neck.
This piece is in excellent condition.
It doesn’t get much more romantic than this example of functionality meets beauty. A Victorian gold filled propelling pencil decorated with etchings and a sparkling amber glass seal stone. This tiny pencil includes a ring for hanging. Would make a beautiful gift for a writer to wear around their neck.
This pencil is in excellent antique condition but needs to be refilled with pencil led.
Lovely 1920’s cotton crepe embroidered pillow sham with decorative lace and colorful shirring.
Condition: Great antique condition with minor spots and mended areas. One area shown in photos has not been mended. Still shows well when stuffed.
20 inches in length and stretches to 13 inches wide at middle.
In excellent condition antique white work and lace Edwardian caplet. Made with a high collar and many decorative romantic details.
Size: small/medium Best fit for a shoulder width of 15-17 inches and a neck of 14 inches or less.
Antique brooch with decorative hearts entwined as a romantic symbol of love.
This piece is in good antique condition. C clasp in back works well.
Antique sterling silver chatelaine piece, possibly a toothpick holder. Pretty silver piece with the fleur de flea design that works well as a pendant or a holder of any treasured item.

Victorian silver hair comb decorated with acanthus leaves and paste stones. A great gift for a lover of 19th century romantic accessories. A very special and rare find, this comb is not marked as to its metal but seems to be silver plated if not sterling silver. Some patina has been carefully cleaned off. yet some patina still remains, please see photos.
This piece is in excellent antique condition
Antique amber glass necklace made of several glass pendants that fall and grace the neckline. Made some time between 1900-1919. This romantic piece shines and glows with warmth.
Necklace is in excellent condition but the original clasp has been replaced since it was made. Necklace is 14 inches in circumference.
Another lovely example of Edwardian love for lace and romance.
Size: Best for a Small/Extra small bust. Recommended a 30-34 inch bust
14 inches wide in shoulders, 11 inches in length at back and 30 inches wide at bust.
This Edwardian style vest was made to be worn open so the bodice or blouse of the wearer could still shine through. So you want it to only fit 3/4ths of your bust. This style of antique lace has some stretch to it.
In excellent antique condition. Carefully hand washed and ready to wear.
Hand made lace from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s, hand sewn into a romantic camisole.
Size: Large/Extra Large Best for a full bust of 41-46 inches. Camisole is 44 inches in width with some stretch that could comfortably fit a 46 bust at largest and small enough to drape a 41 inch bust attractively.
Hand made lace is in excellent antique condition but not flawless. Antique net lace is often found with several holes. This piece has a few tiny holes but hardly noticeable. Please see photos for reference.
